About the Item

PAIR OF MID-CENTURY CHROME, BRASS AND GLASS ETAGERE BOOKSHELVES In the manner of Maison Jansen, circa mid 20th century Item # 904SAN13A A nice modernist pair of chromed steel and brass open bookshelves with five-shelves on each, it features brass highlights at each shelf juncture as well as including machined brass feet and turned ball finials on the top corners. They are unmarked but are in a style typically associated with the famous designer Maison Jansen, both clearly being from the middle of the 20th century and of a good quality. A very sturdy and well-made pair. Measurements: 74 5/8" H x 14 1/2" D x 30 1/2" W Condition Report: Scuffs and wear to the chrome and brass throughout including minor pitting; several replaced glass shelves and there is some variation in the treatment of the corners on the glass shelves (some rounded profile and some squared); light scuffing to glass. A good presentation.
