Philippe Starck, set of three Mac Gee Black Bookcases for Baleri Italia, 1984

About the Item

Mac Gee bookcases evoke the aerodynamic geometries of an airplane wing, and this three-piece set allows for modulation according to furniture needs with the option of aligning them to make up a single piece. The steel structure consists of a central column, angled vertically to rest against the wall, and five shelves arranged vertically in decreasing depth. The lines are light and dynamic, in full Philippe Starck style, and are suitable for all kinds of environments, both classic and modern. All three bookcases are marked with Philippe Starck's signature and the manufacturer's mark with the date.
