Rare Antique Federal American Mahogany Secretary Writing Desk Gothic Bookcase

About the Item

A fine and impressive Federal Period Mahogany secretary and bookcase, circa 1830s. The bookcase features an eighteen pane gothic arched cabinet front that opens to two shelves, cubbies and drawers. A flip top writing surface opens to a baize writing surface. Base includes two over two drawers with crotch mahogany veneer front centered between full columns and robust turned feet. Surface Height 34".
