Turn-of-the-Century, Tuscan Bookcases

About the Item

A substantial, rare pair of mated, hand-carved, ebonized, turn-of-the-century, two part Italian bookcases. Each with glass front doors bordered by fluted, faux pilasters rising to Ionic capitals supporting an entablature featuring a stunning medallion emblazoned with scripted "R's" above a foliate garland and relief carved ribbons. The lower cabinets with paneled doors below pair of pull-out reading tablets.
