We are delighted to offer for sale this absolutely stunning Victorian flamed mahogany Library Study bookcase A very good looking and large utilitarian piece. My favourite type of antique is something that is useful, that’s why they survive, this piece is gorgeous to look at, the hand carved mahogany swirly sides are sublime. The shelves in the top are all fully removable and height adjustable, both original keys are included however the locks are temperamental We have deep cleaned hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, there will be patina marks from honest use and genuine age, there is a small piece of timber missing on the middle right side as pictured, a tiny hair line crack in one of the glass panels (this can be replaced for a small fee) and the bottom right door has a little age related curve at the base, not noticeable when locked of course Dimensions, Height 148cm top, 97.5cm base 245.5cm total Width 137.5cm top, 142.5cm base Depth 37.5cm top, 45cm base Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point This item is available for collection from our Wimbledon warehouses Condition: Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
