18th Century French Louis XV Painted Four-Door Bombe and Serpentine Buffet

About the Item

Add extra surface space and storage to a living room with this elegant, antique carved “Buffet de Chasse” or "Hunt Buffet". Hand carved in Lyon France, circa 1760, the bombe enfilade stands on six escargot feet over a scalloped apron. The enfilade features four serpentine doors including a double door in the center, all with recessed panels. The shaped surface is dressed with a hand painted "faux marble” top, over a narrow secret drawer right underneath. The inside reveals shelving for extra storage. The large buffet is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich rubbed patinated painted finish in the light grey blue and off white palette. Three keys included. Measures: 59.5" W x 25.75" D x 36.5" H.
