18th Century French Regence Carved Bombe Two-Tone Painted "Buffet Deux Corps"

About the Item

Make a statement of beauty in your home with this grand Regence period "buffet deux-corps"! Crafted in Paris, France, circa 1730 and almost 12 feet tall, the monumental antique oak buffet sits on a wide bottom plinth, and has reverse serpentine shapes, straight carved lines and an elegant bonnet top. The cabinet has been painted in a two-tone blue gray and off white palette. The impressive, tall buffet can be used as an entertainment center or display cabinet (its interchangeable top doors can be used two different ways; see picture #3). The elegant piece is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use and adorns a rich old rubbed patinated paint finish. All original shelving. Measures: 80" W x 30" D x 129" H.
