18th Century French Louis XV/Provincial French Buffet with Black Shell Marble

18th century French Provincial French Buffe*t with Black Shell Marble *Buffet de Chasse (Hunt Board/Buffet) This beautiful example , is a substantial yet subtle sideboard with rare black shell marble top.* Bu ffet de chasse were often made for French hunting lodges or chateaus. Resting on a lower case made of paneled carved walnut, fitted with two upper 23-Inch x 5-Inches high long drawers, the lower case fitted with two wrought iron fitted 24-inch square doors, with its original working key, raised on slight cabriole legs. *The Marble was professionally restored, it is secure and retains a stunning patina.
