A wooden ice chestcreated in 1900s Belgium. This intriguing piece exudes a timeless air despite its antiquated use. Serving a unique function, this antiquated refridgerator would have stored ice, along with other perishibles, specially insulated to retain the heat. A delicate bleaching process has been applied to the surface of the oak, bringing out a delightful luster from the material, providing a new twist while at the same time paying respect to the original maker who’s plaque still rests on the front of the buffet.
