19th Century Belgian Oak Buffet
About the Item
Timeless craftsmanship and the beautiful finish of the natural oak make this antique buffet a find to treasure. Hand-built in Belgium in the 1800s, discreet decorative accents bring personality to the spacious cabinet. The ogee peaks of the arched panels are echoed in the upper molding, while geometric feet settle the piece with a classical order. The upper drawers are topped by an impressive cornice; the principal ornamental element, however, is the surface of the wood itself — lovingly restored to reveal the warm golden hue and magnificent burled grain of the organic oak.
