19th Century English Neoclassical Demilune Buffet, circa 1890
About the Item
This gorgeous 19th Century English Neoclassical Demilune Buffet is the ideal choice for literally any room, as it provides a surface, storage, and the least amount of intrusion on your floor space of any design! Hand-crafted from exotic imported flame mahogany, its double doors open wide to reveal surprising storage, combined with the large drawer above, fitted with the original brass pulls. Subtle neoclassical carved embellishments include stylized foliate scrollwork centered with a Grecian urn in relief, flanked by oval rosettes which are in turn flanked by fluted upper panels. The fluting is also applied to the pilasters that lead to the four tapered legs that transition beautifully into contoured pediment feet. Tailored molded detail completes the look.
