19th Century Louis Philippe Buffet

About the Item

Unusual and wonderful 19th century Louis Philippe buffet made from several different woods for gorgeous contrasting detail. The entire case is made from spectacular rosewood. The top is banded in maple with a shaped and beveled edge. The sides of the case are simple and there are two drawers over two doors in the front. The drawer fronts and door panels are made from finely figured burl walnut, and are both banded in maple molding for added design interest. The piece is supported on hand turned feet in the front and simple feet in the back for easy placement against a wall.
