19th Century Pine Dresser with Plate Rack

About the Item

Antique stepback cupboard or dresser crafted from solid pine with a beautiful patina. Found in Ireland and dating to the 19th century, the upper hutch is fitted with a two-shelf plate rack with cup hooks and is decorated with beautiful beaded molding at the top and along the sides. Intricate crown molding topping the hutch is further accented with beaded detailing. The hutch rests upon a lower dresser featuring a 3 over 2 drawer configuration. Beaded molding detailing is continued vertically along the corner sides of the dresser. Simple wooden chunky mushroom knobs, stained a darker shade, adorn the drawers. Found in Ireland, dating to the mid-1800s. Handcrafted from solid pine. Consists of two separate pieces, with the hutch resting atop the dresser. Dovetailed drawers run nicely. Cup hooks are present along the upper shelves (2 are missing). Overall condition is consistent with age and use. Measures approximately 60.125” L x 18.25” D x 75” H (when together).
