Early 20th C. French Neoclassical Style Petite-Sized Buffet Cabinet

About the Item

A French carved and painted wood smaller-sized buffet cabinet from the early 20th century. This antique cabinet from France, designed with Neoclassical influences, has a rectangular-shaped top with outwardly projected half-round corners atop their rounded side-posts. The case houses a pair of half-sized, recessed-panel drawers over a pair of raised panel doors. Brass rectangular-pulls adorn the drawers, and oval-shaped brass escutcheons on the doors. Each far side continues the panel design. This piece is presented upon four rounded and tapering legs that terminate into brass feet. There is a custom wash over the wood that still allows the grain to show through from beneath, with a creamy/white accent trim. This early 20th century French buffet console, with its Neoclassical design and soothing color, is a great, versatile size at just over 3 feet in with.

This antique cabinet from France features a rectangular-shaped top top, with pronounced rounded corners, which rests atop a neoclassical style case which houses three drawers set horizontally above a pair of doors, flanked within rounded and fluted side posts (whose carving is repeated down the rear side posts). This server is nicely raised upon rounded and flute-carved legs, which taper gently and terminate into petite metal feet.
