English Sheraton-Style Buffet/Sideboard Flame Mahogany with Satinwood and Ebony
About the Item
English, 19th century sideboard with fine marquetry inlay of satinwood and ebony. The flame mahogany
is lovely with the original finish and patina. The shape is of serpentine form with a graceful curve
to the center front. Three drawers under the shaped case open for flatware and two larger drawers
open for storage (one is divided for storage of wine bottles or carafes).
Shell form in satinwood marquetry accentuate the corners of each of the drawers and corners.
A tapered leg also has a string inlay of satinwood.
