French 18th Century Louis XV Walnut Buffet
About the Item
A very high quality country French 18th Century Louis XV period honey colored Walnut buffet, with a rectangular moulded shaped top above a fluted frieze. The buffet has two large drawers centered by a single smaller drawer, flanked by a diamond carved design. The buffet has sloped doors with elaborate moulded Acanthus leaf designed panels issuing large floral branches. The doors are centered by a vertical panel including carvings of foliage and grapevines. The scalloped apron is decorated by a carved flower bouquet and has a moulded edge which runs to the wide and short 'S' scrolled supports.
