French Louis XVI Buffet “a l’Etrusque”
About the Item
Buffet from France in the Louis XVI style. This piece is made of striped mahogany with striking hand-crafted detail throughout. There are two doors that open to interior shelving. In the traverse the two dovetailed drawers are adorned with the finest gilt bronze frieze of waves in the “à L’Etrusque” style. This fine cabinet is supported by fluted “toupies” legs and columns. 24 carats gold-leafing and ridged brass detailing throughout. This extremely well-crafted buffet boasts an original Carrara marble slab top. The buffet is finished with a lustrous French polish finish.
