  • Important Collector's Cabinet Stamped Grohé In Paris
    Located in BARSAC, FR
    Magnificent collector's cabinet from the Napoleon III period presenting very fine marquetry of crosspieces made from rosewood and rosewood species. This piece of furniture also forming a buffet or large meuble d'appui opening thirteen drawers and a central door, it is topped with a thick Morello red marble top with a double groove. Blackened wooden moldings highlight the frames and openings. We note a double projection on the facade. As is standard in the prestigious productions of major Parisian signatures, the rich ornamentation of very finely chiseled and gilded bronze is there, including bouquets of laurel wrapped in keyholes, lion heads and asparagus on the front uprights, various pearl friezes and gadroons.
