Large Four-Door Painted Enfilade

About the Item

Large four-door painted enfilade, circa 1850-1889, France. Large rustic French enfilade buffet painted in warm gray tones and a wooden top. Surface edges are smoothed and rounded from centuries of natural wear and use. Old iron 'staples' in panels of doors to prevent the common problem of panel splitting and separation. Sturdy, stable. Working locks and key. Note: Original/early finish on antique and vintage metal will include some, or all, of the following: patina, scaling, light rust, discoloration, and corrosion. Due to regional changes in humidity and climate during shipping, antique wood may shrink and/or split along its grain, veneer may loosen or peel, and painted finishes and gilt may flake and crack.
