About the Item
Louis XV provincial fruitwood, elm, burled elm and beech wood buffet, 18th century. With a rectangular 4 board top with molded edges and rounded front corners, two frieze drawers each with horizontal steel escutcheons, below are two doors each with burl elm inset panels, a carved and inlaid scalloped apron, resting on French fiddle feet. Nice old color. Mortise tenon and dowel case construction and hand dove tailed drawer construction.
