About the Item

An attractive and high quality pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. mahogany, ormolu and Vert de Patricia marble buffets, attributed to Maison Krieger. The pair are raised by topie shaped feet below the bottom tier with a mottled border. The back panels have a shelf at the mid section with a mottled panel above and below the shelves. Each panel has a decorative ormolu rosette at each corner. The front of the buffets have elegant reeded columns decorated by richly chased ormolu spiral floral garlands. At the top are two drawers with 'C' shaped ormolu handles flanking a central keyhole escutcheon locking both drawers at the same time. Above the columns are two ormolu rosettes all below the fitted Vert de Patricia marble tops.
