About the Item

A French painted wood buffet. This vintage painted wood buffet features two drawers over two doors. The panels on the doors have been delicately carved. The skirt is scalloped with a shell motif in its center and the buffet is raised on scrolled feet. The general color tone is a light cream with a light blue grey pickled finish. This piece, with neutral colors, would be an elegant storage solution for any dining room, living area, or foyer.

An Italian ornately painted wood console chest with faux-marble top from the 19th century. This antique buffet from Italy features a shapely front with bowed mid section flanked within curvy recessed sides, with a slightly overhanging top which mimics the shape beneath. The case houses two doors at front, which opens to reveal a shelf for storage within. The cabinet is painted and trimmed with four panels, each featuring rococo style accents along their inner framed portions, and center panels have a male figure and female figure, each within their own panel and seated with umbrella raised above their head. A French two-door buffet cabinet with nicely carved skirt from the early 19th century (or possibly earlier). This antique painted and carved wood cabinet from France has a rectangular-shaped top with rounded front corner edges, which rests above a case of fitted with a pair of doors that arch together at center, and raised upon cabriole feet. Each door is adorn with shapely raised-panels within their centers, and flanked within rounded side posts carved with an elongated oval panel and thick acanthus leaf towards the skirt. The beautiful paneling continues at underside of top front, and either cabinet side. The skirt is exquisite, and pierce carved with leafy c-scrolls along the front with scalloped sided. The pale gray color with hints of taupe and blue which peak out from beneath reads as neutral from a distance. Trim and carvings are accentuated in a soft taupe color.
