About the Item
An 18th Century Louis XVI French bleached oak Buffet à Deux-Corps. The upper case with crown molding atop two arched doors which reveal interior shelving and backboards in original Regency period blue paint, embellished with a single top rosette and flanked by a pair of corner cupboards. The lower case features two central paneled doors which contain deep shelving and shallow corner cabinets, all mounted on loaf form pediment feet. Brass door pulls, hinges and half-mortised steel locks appear to be original to the piece.
