19th C. Spanish Leather-Wrapped Secretary Cabinet on a Custom Iron Base

About the Item

A 19th century Spanish secretary desk, on custom iron base. This antique case piece from Spain has a leather-wrapped exterior which is adorn in nail-head accents, original iron hardware, and nicely scalloped skirt at front. When the fall-front is lowered to create the desk, it reveals a pair of small leather-wrapped drawers flanked within a pair of arched cubies. Beneath the desk is a pair of drawers atop a pair of doors, with storage within. The chest has been raised atop a pair of custom silver colored iron rail-style legs; which are open and rectangular in shape. The new and old play nicely in contrast with one another. This unique 19th century Spanish desk with custom legs will make a fabulous decorative storage option- introducing a nice mixture of textures & elements to your design space.
