About the Item

19th century French glass and chrome shelved shop display cabinet 19th century glass and chrome shelved shop display cabinet. Display cabinets of this size and originality with a dull chrome frame and original wood base are very hard to find. Originally part of a bespoke shop fit the cabinet would have sat on a display counter. The frame is a dull chromed steel with a wonderful worn colour and character. The handle is brass and it would have originally been chromed to match but years of use have dulled the chrome revealing the delicate brass detail. The glass is original except the two shelves which were missing and have been replaced. Internal dimensions 42L x 42W x 22H, all cm.
