19th Century Red Lacqured Chinese Cabinet with Gilt Decoration

About the Item

A very decorative red and black lacqured 19th century cabinet from Shanxi China. This cabinet has gilded decoration depicting mountain, foliage and temples with people as well as butterflies. It was probably originally used as a wardrope cabinet and had a decorated shelf and drawers on the interior.
