This is an antique corner cabinet. An English, mahogany cupboard with Georgian revival taste, dating to the late Victoria period, circa 1880.
Delightfully figured cabinet with a bright painted interior
Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
Select stocks show fine grain interest and warm caramel hues
Later painted interior a shock of light apple green
Tiered crown moulding standing above the whole
Field panel door further distinguished with a shaped dome top
Dressed with a shaped lock escutcheon — key present
A pair of brass butterfly hinges adorn the fascia
Interior arranged as a trio of shelves with serpentine front edge to the upper pair
Standing upon a canted plinth of shallow profile
Suitable for wall mounting with a pair of brass loops to the rear
This is a delightful antique corner cabinet, with a pleasing rendition of Georgian revival taste. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
