About the Item

Antique Oak Golf Ball Display Cabinet. A Victorian wall display cabinet with a collection of 32 original vintage golf balls. The cabinet is with a single lockable glazed door and a faux red leather background. Thirty balls sit on individually turned wooden display stands, two sit on the halves of a vintage metal dimple pattern ball mould. The glass door gives a clear view of each and every ball on display, whilst helping to protect the balls from dust and damage. The thirty-two balls are sold with the cabinet and range from 1890's gutty balls to 1960's Dunlop 65. It is a good varied selection of gutta-percha, rubber core, mesh, bramble and dimple golf balls. Shelf 3 1) Dimple golf ball, 2) 1930's Spalding rubber core 'Top-Flite', 3) rubber core mesh pattern 'Silver King' - circa 1910, 4) "The 'STAR' Challenger" rubber core - circa 1910, 5) 1910 mesh or lattice pattern 'B.I', 6) Pin-Hi mesh pattern, 7) mesh pattern 'Anvil', 8) vintage two-part dimple golf ball mould.
