This is an antique mirrored duet cabinet. An English, walnut bookcase or drinks cupboard, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880. Superb craftsmanship throughout with a striking visual appeal Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Select walnut stocks radiate warm caramel hues and fine grain interest Wonderful original mirror plates with bright reflection and minimal foxing Galleried top with balustrade finish, the corners adorned with small turned finials Dentil mouldings, reeded carvings and leaf carved corbel accentuate the fascia Pair of dashing mirrored doors with bevelled glass and astragal bars in nine sections Dressed to each door with shaped lock escutcheons — in working order, keys present Generous storage to the interior where trios of removable shelves reside Set upon toothed brackets, shelf heights can be adjusted through a range of 64cm (25.25'') Graceful shaped front aprons flow to the centre with club shaped openings Raised upon a quintet of short turned baluster feet with bun toes This is an exceptional antique mirrored duet cabinet, with a strong aesthetic appeal and wonderfully practical for any room.
