Carla Venosta & Guido Zimmerman for Arflex, bookcase 'Valiant', in steel and plexiglass, Italy, 1971.
This steel bookcase with plexiglass shelves has a clean and geometric design which is emphasized by the rawness of the materials. The steel shelving unit is part of our midcentury design collection. This particular unit consists of seven vertical elements parts with four shelves. The unit is exemplary for the functional and strong design of postwar Italy that bears references to architecture. The piece shows some great patina which adds extra strength to the overall design of this piece. Carla Venosta is known for using industrial technique and materials as the main feature of her designs.
Please note that we have more vertical elements in stock if you may wish to acquire a larger unit.
