Carved Oak Belgian Bookcase with Glass Doors, circa 1890

About the Item

This beautiful oak bookcase showcases two glass front doors with carved lower door panels, one with a carved roe deer to symbolize Belgium's native animals the other with a carved lamb to symbolize its domesticated animals. The doors open to three shelves over a generous storage area. Large decorative hinges and escutcheons accent the piece. The bookcase is raised on bun front feet and block rear feet.
