About the Item

A fine diminutive two section Adam style bookcase or china cabinet, its upper section featuring a foliate carved gilt crest, four urn form finials, and hand painted Classical frieze surmounting three satinwood or light burled wood banded glazed glass doors with arched panels, which open to three adjustable interior shelves, over a lower section with divided long flatware drawer with brass ring pulls over two doors with center burled panels surrounded by radiating mahogany veneer, over a nicely carved skirt, all supported by splayed French feet. Branded in the flatware drawer “F & G Hand Made Furniture Co, Cambridge MA, Adolpho Genovese,” and probably dates to the mid 20th century. Very good overall condition, with a few minor surface scratches and imperfections, as well as light expected wear from age and use. Dimensions: 82 in H x 45.5 in W x 18 in D.
