About the Item

An Italian small-sized neoclassical commode with decorative foliage inlay from the early 19th century. This antique cabinet from Italy features decorative inlay throughout; with an oval-shaped foliage motif medallion at top center, and repeated at the door front center. And banding inlay trim outlining the top, front, sides, and side posts. The case houses a single door, which opens to reveal a shelf and storage within. This chest is presented nicely upon spade carved legs. This early 19th century Neoclassical Italian chest is a nice petite size (approximately 20" wide), allowing it to work well in any number of rooms throughout a home or office.
