Edwardian Maple & co marquetry display cabinet

Edwardian Maple & co display cabinet. This Edwardian Maple & co display cabinet was made during the height of the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Maple & co who were known for the finest quality furnishings for the home, had large stores in Tottenham Court Road, London, also in Paris and Buenos Aires. This beautiful cabinet has bow fronted drawers in the base section and a concave cupboard to each side. The top section with the central glazed door and with concave glass panels to each side of this. Using the designs and style of Robert Adam, it is sumptuously inlaid throughout, displaying the skills of fine marquetry work by the accomplished cabinetmaker. The cabinet top is surmounted by a carved swan-neck pediment. These cabinets dimensions are not a great size and so this beautiful cabinet from the period of ‘the age of elegance’ will without doubt give you much pleasure. 97cms wide 36 1/2ins 188cms high 74ins 43cms deep 17ins All Measurements are as accurate as possible.
