About the Item

This well-preserved Ming-style cabinet, dating from around 1860. It is crafted from elm wood and retains its original red lacquer, which has developed a beautiful natural patina over time. The cabinet features two paneled doors framed by profiled moldings, opening to reveal an interior shelf with two small drawers. Originating from the Shanxi province in China, approx. 1860
