Fine 18th/19th Century Figured Burl Wood Breakfront

About the Item

An oantique Burl Wood Cabinet with very fine form and excellent color enhanced by a later Turquoise painted interior. Finely constructed with canted sides and tiered carved shaped cornice. The top section with glazed side panels and double doors with mullions. The interior painted pale green with two supports for the two scalloped shelves and a light. Lower double doors with inner banding, opening to a single shelf. All doors with finely chased brass escutcheons (lacking the lower right one). With a key. The carved base raised on all bracket feet. Dimensions: H. 80", W. 50", Depth 13 1/2" Condition: Please see all detail photos. While there is a key, it does not function in the lock however it is still useful to open the doors. There are signs of age with the lower right door with repair to the upper left curved piece, two stable age cracks across the interior top back, some expected small stable age cracks and veneer losses here and there but they do not detract from the overall very fine presentation. The two scalloped shelves are included.
