About the Item

Rare and unusual dresser decorated with colorful bits of broken porcelain -- in typical French Folk Art tradition, but unusual on a piece of this size -- and painted pink, red and green, with gold touches here and there. This piece of furniture is composed of two parts. The top section has a central portion and two side compartments, each fitted with shelves. Above each side section is a drawer. The glass is original, and is painted in green paint on the reverse -- the paint is now largely worn off. The central section of the bottom is fitted with shelves, and there are two extra drawers on either side of this.
