French Louis XVI Style Demilune Side Cabinet with Marble Top
About the Item
This Louis XVI style meuble a hauteur d' appui has a warm, reddish brown patina, and is crafted from mahogany with rosewood or kingwood. It features a rouge marble top, crosshatch parquetry inlay, and neoclassical gilt bronze mounts including lion and goddess masks, rosettes, reed-and-tie molding, and shell and scrolling foliate motifs. Interior measures 40.5" wide and 30" high, and is fitted with notched sides to accommodate two, original adjustable shelves. The rear panel is pierced with a handful of holes created to accommodate television and stereo cords.
