George I Giltwood and Japanned Cabinet on Stand

About the Item

The cabinet with two doors opening to an interior fitted with drawers. Two drawers with reverse painting on glass of a country house and gardens, another drawer with a stump work crest with flanking stump work baskets. Another scene of a baby in a landscape, another what seems to be a maypole in a setting of a boar and deer in a landscape. Two other boxes featuring possibly the family's country residence with children and sheep. The base with central lions head and vitruvian scroll carving and swags, raised on carved cabriole legs and scroll feet.
