Henri 2 Cabinet or Secretaire in Sculpted Oak Renaissance Style, 19th Century
About the Item
Rare cabinet desk Henri II style in carved oak. The base is made up of two boxes each with a drawer and a door carved and framed by columns. On the wooden top rests the cabinet treated in the manner of a buffet top, with a central niche where a terrace with balusters surmounts two small carved doors and an alcove. This niche and the two doors which frame it are surmounted by a row of three drawers. The set ends with a tray with a cornice patterned genoise
All the sculpture of the furniture is borrowed from the floral, vegetal and architectural repertoires,
