Italian Cabinet With Table, Late Seventeenth Century Italian Cabinet of exposed sample, with prismatic structure and carved feet, in the shape of a bird's claw synthesized on a ball, a very typical shape of the seventeenth century cabinet. The decoration is concentrated on the front, and on the sides it is reduced to a central arched handle on an openwork and cut-out plate. The sample is divided into three streets, the central in front of the rest of the front. The side streets house four equal drawers. The perimeter of the facades is crossed by a stepped molding which affects the partitioning of the structure. This search for compositional clarity, through the marking of the different parts of the structure, which are never overwhelmed by decoration, is a purely classical criterion which will be a constant in the Baroque, and which will only be broken with the arrival of the rococo. , an essentially anti-classical language. The central street holds the main role of the room, as usual in the bargueño bargueño, and follows a marked architectural structure which, although it follows a common criterion throughout Europe at that time, shows a clearly Italian taste. , which is directly linked to the contemporary architecture of the country: Solomonic columns, fins, corbels, etc. This front of the central street hides a door skilfully concealed by the decoration, so that the architectural scheme is not broken. Inside are several narrow and elongated drawers, with fronts decorated with light wood, forming geometric recesses, matching the sides of the exterior of the cabinet, composing a geometric and repetitive pattern that will be a recurring element in the bargueño bargueño in the entire Europe.
