About the Item

This antique cabinet was crafted in the Taisho Era (1912–1926). Made from Japanese cedar, this piece features a warm and inviting texture that has deepened over time, adding to its wabi-sabi charm. The glass doors are fitted with traditional wavy glass, offering a soft, distorted view of the interior while enhancing its nostalgic appeal. Behind the glass are wooden shelves, ideal for displaying tableware, books, or cherished items. The frame-and-panel (kamachi) construction showcases traditional Japanese joinery, with clean lines and understated elegance. Beneath the glass doors are three small drawers, offering convenient storage for compact items. This balance of open display and enclosed storage makes the piece both practical and visually engaging. Cleaned and disinfected with a non-toxic solution. The doors and drawers move smoothly. As an antique piece, minor scratches and marks may be present, each adding to its unique charm and the story it tells over time. It has been carefully inspected and remains in excellent antique condition, with natural signs of age that enhance its character. The interior dimensions are as follows (in inches, with centimeters in parentheses): Glass sliding-door compartment (from top) Tier 1: W34.6" × D11.2" × H7.7" (88.0 cm × 28.5 cm × 19.5 cm) Tier 2: W34.6" × D11.2" × H7.9" (88.0 cm × 28.5 cm × 20.0 cm) Tier 3: W34.6" × D12.4" × H8.5" (88.0 cm × 31.5 cm × 21.5 cm) Drawer interior (each) W9.8" × D12.4" × H4.5" (24.8 cm × 31.5 cm × 11.4 cm) Weight :44.09lbs(20kg) Shipping Information We ship from Japan.
