This account is operated by four different companies. As for me, I specialize in Japanese antique furniture and objects. With 20 years of experience as a buyer, I am leading Japanese antiques with a new perspective. This is a very old large Tansu made in Japan. It is a furniture of Meiji era. (1860's-1920's) Material is cedar wood. The design is simple and lean. This simplicity embodies Japan. The lattice sliding door creates shadows and a beautiful scene. Inside Tansu is a single removable shelf. This is a convenient feature as the shelf board can be moved depending on the size of the items to be stored. Careful and careful maintenance has been carried out so as not to spoil the beauty of the product over time. The sliding doors open and close smoothly. The entire furniture has been washed in water and disinfected. You can use it with peace of mind. From this Tansu, we feel the spirit of Wabisabi, the Japanese philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence. It is a modest and humble beauty, the beauty of the unconventional, the opposite of vulgarity. This is a unique and very rare item. Weight approx. 60 kg.
