About the Item

This vintage chadansu(tea cabinet) was crafted in the early Showa Period '1926-'. The main body is made of mulberry wood, while the sliding doors are crafted from zelkova, showcasing particularly beautiful wood grain patterns. With its shallow depth and slim design, this cabinet is easy to incorporate into various spaces. The upper sliding doors once had metal fittings for gripping, but they are now missing, leaving small holes that serve as a unique feature. Additionally, the interior of the middle sliding door section includes a small drawer, enhancing both its practicality and visual interest. The aged patina and weathered details add to its wabi-sabi charm, embodying the timeless appeal of antique furniture. As a vintage piece, minor scratches and marks may be present, each adding to its unique charm and the story it tells over time. Cleaned and disinfected with non-toxic solution.
