Inspired by deadstock Marimekko textile, the Jot Cabinet explores graphic inlays as a technique to enhance form. Observing where lines serendipitously intersected and diverged, this piece plays with the ways a flat graphic is distorted when overlaid on a three dimensional form.
Marmar Studio is a furniture and object design practice centered on cultivating endearment to the inanimate. By refining forms to their essentials, marmar creates pieces that align utility and character, where the act of use becomes an expression of personality.
