Late 1800s French Walnut Glass Front Display Cabinet

About the Item

Found in the South of France, this handsome Walnut Glass Front Display Cabinet or Bookcase was crafted from old growth walnut by French artisans in the late 1800s. The piece features two glass paneled doors that open to reveal two adjustable shelves resting above a single drawer that provides additional storage. The cabinet retains its original brass exterior hardware and key, the working lock mechanism as well as additional interior locks were added at a later date. The tailored architecture and elegant simplicity of this display cabinet, with its beautiful rich patina and unique size, allows this piece to work with a wide variety of decors whether used as a display cabinet, bookcase or hung on a wall. 32.75"W x 12.25"D x 56"H
