Designed by Lensvelt and Studio Job No. 49 "Job Office Cabinet" is made from powder-coated steel and polished bronze in 2014.
First launched by Studio Job in Milan in 2011, this tall metal cabinet in a matte finish is fitted with six shelves, four of which are half the depth of the cabinet itself and can be adjusted according to requirement. An enormous bronze key left visible out of a similarly oversized lock, transforms the functional object into a sophisticated and creative piece, wholly in line with Studio Job's aesthetic. As with the Job Office Desk, the bronze key is specially inscribed.
With the office becoming more and more like a home, the key in the lock makes for a perfect symbiosis between Industrial mass production and personal object; while its eccentricity recalls the cabinet of curiosities, which were both personal and public.
