About the Item
Meccanic Constructions collection refers to the children's construction system Meccano, and is made from individual handcut elements that have been bolted together. Despite the domestic source of inspiration, Joost Van Bleiswijk designs and makes a Limited Edition collection of striking elegance.
The handcrafted interconnected elements, all handmade, and the colors of the metals are vaguely reminiscent of Art Deco shapes, and demonstrates how even using unpolished brass and exposed joinery, Joost is able to handcraft pieces of refined beauty.
The series includes coffee table, shade extra large floor lamp, vertical floor lamp, cabinet or bookcase.
Finishes: Patinaand polished brass.
