Mid Century Danish Teak Wood Storage Cabinet by Soborg Mobler
About the Item
This exceptional vintage mid century Danish modern teak storage cabinet designed by Christian Hvidt for Soborg Mobler was made in Denmark circa 1960. Impeccably crafted from teak wood, the cabinet features multi-tone shades of wood with distinctive dovetail joinery detailing along the outer cabinet edges. The unit has a smaller step back upper hutch that opens on storage and a spacious locking lower cabinet with replacement fixed shelf holders and two removable replacement shelves that have been custom made (not shown in photos). The cabinet has fully finished interiors and consists of three pieces - upper step-back hutch, lower cabinet and cabinet base - for more convenient transport and storage. Original minimalist solid brass handles and one working key included. This uniquely proportioned, versatile and functional piece is perfect for home or office; use as a storage cabinet, bookcase, china cabinet or bar cabinet, etc. Original Soborg Mobler sticker on back.
CONDITION
Excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with age and use. Some surface scratches on lower cabinet top and side. Original working cabinet key included.
