About the Item

A very fine Napoleon III cabinet or bookcase in the Louis XVI style with original marble top, bronze doré ormolu, antique 18th century French book bindings on the end doors and a brass wire on the center door (that has interior hardware for a curtain). Offers three shelves on each side cabinet and four shelves that are adjustable on the center section. Comes with working locks and keys. France, circa 1850. Restored in our workshop with French polish. Measures: 62" wide x 19" deep x 51" high Note: You should always request a shipping quote.     Refinished. Wear consistent with age and use. Interior shelves made out or 3/4 " birch plywood with solid wood fronts. They have been stained and polished to match the original finish. The original back panel frame is intact but the vertical wooden centre planks have been replaced with walnut.
